About Boonville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Boonville is situated in Boon Township, Warrick County, Indiana. The city had a population of about 6,200 residents in 2010 according to the United States Census Bureau. Boonville serves as the county seat of Warrick County. The city was founded in 1818 and a post office has been in operation in the city since 1820. Boonville was eventually incorporated as a city in 1858.

Boonville is a city that has many points of interest that will be of interest to all individuals. The post office is home to a casein tempera-on-canvas mural painted in 1941 by Ida Abelman. Murals of this kind were produced in the United States from 1934 to 1943 through the Section of Fine Arts of the Treasury Department. Boonville is home to many places that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Boonville Public Square Historic District which encompasses 50 buildings in the central business district of the city. Also listed on the NRHP is the Old Warrick County Jail. The Italianate style red brick building was constructed in 1877 and was added to the list in 1979.

Weather conditions in Boonville are varied throughout the course of a year. December, January, and February experience daytime temperatures that range from the low to mid-40s on average. In addition to cool temperatures, snow is very common during these months.
